Diddy’s Country has been lovingly passed down the generations and always been used as a holiday home/farm. Over the decades, the house has grown from a simple three room farmhouse from the early 1900, with its typical star-shaped ceiling, to a splendid modern mediterranean villa retaining features of the antique farm. In recent years we have further enlarged and refurbished the house and used it as a family holiday home until we decided to share the house with our guests. We are sure you will love it as much as we do.

We met in 2001 in London, got married in 2004 and we are still living in the UK today. We took over Diddy’s Country from the family back in 2006 to have a holiday home for the family and we enlarged and refurbished the house completely to our standards. Raffaele and Lara have spent many lovely holidays here together with their grandparents, Blandina and Marcello, Alessandro’s parents. Many friends came to visit over the years and shared the joy and love with us. We opened the villa for our guests in 2016.
The Olive Grove
Diddy’s Country, the gardens and the olive grove are together 10 acres. You will be in the midst of a working olive grove and you will receive a complimentary bottle of our own olive oil, Golden Nectar, for your stay. Being a working olive grove, our farmer will have to farm the land and look after the trees and olives a few times a year and this might coincide with your stay. We will always inform you in advance and keep any disruption to a minimum. Please visit our Golden Nectar website by clinging on the picture.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or amend your booking you must telephone us as soon as possible. A phone call must be followed by an email for the cancellation to take effect. Contact here
Given the current uncertain circumstances, our cancellation policy is more flexible than usual.
In all circumstances we will try to rent the property again for this period and if so, would refund the difference.

F.A.Q.
Do you cater for babies and toddlers?
Yes, we do have a good range of items and furniture for babies and toddlers, we have had up to three babies staying at the same time. We have three cot beds, changing table, potty, high chairs, children’s plates and glasses, blender and last but not least, we do have a toddler pool. We have a lot of toys and ride-ons for toddlers too. Our son learned to walk on the tennis court’s flat surface!
Are you a bed and breakfast?
No we are not. Our house manager Cristiana could deliver fresh bread and milk upon request, please contact us now to arranged well in advance and get a quote!
Do you have a BBQ?
Yes, we do have a large BBQ, actually there are two BBQs and one on the upstairs terrace too!. We also have a wood-fired pizza oven and free wood. If you don’t feel confident enough to use it, you can pre-arrange for our house manager to show you or book her to do it for you.
Can I hire a cook or get take-away?
Please enquire and we will organise something if possible. Our lovely house manager Cristiana is an excellent cook too. We can also arrange a professional cook and catering for groups and parties.
Where can we visit with the kids?
There is plenty to visit with the kids, if they want to leave the estate that is…. Please find a selection here.
Are there good restaurants nearby?
There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, you will need a car though. There are some places in San Vito too. Please see here for a selection of restaurants. We also recommend to use Trip Advisor for the most up to date reviews.
